I learn how to be in control of my mind and body. I think this is needed not only for kids but adults because you can really be at peace with yourself and it can take the weight off and you feel free.

I made a new skill that I can use throughout my life. I use it 100% use it whenever I get stressed out. In the beginning I didn’t know what it was for, and to be honest I thought it was stupid. Practicing mindfulness is extremely helpful in making me a well-rounded student. Mindfulness is a way of making me more calm and aware of my surroundings. Especially being a middle schooler the world can be a tad bit overwhelming. In the middle of all that chaos also known as life itself meditation brings a little sanity into my life. Taking just a few moments to practice meditation can make a WORLD of difference. It makes you feel like you CAN figure it out, and everything is exactly the way it’s supposed to be, even in those chaotic times. Meditation is a LOT more than just sitting and breathing. I can truly say that, without a doubt.

It’s a gift that we get almost everyday to have peace within ourselves, to relax, and be positive. It’s a wonderful thing to do meditation and wish everybody would get to so they would feel the same way I feel.
